Today we're featuring a new Barolo arriving in Costco at a very nice price under $25.
For fans of the excellent Kirkland Barolo priced at $19.99, this is a nice alternative when that one is between vintages.
We had a similar situation on the Brunello side when we found this bottle, priced just a bit more than its Kirkland counterpart, but offering a nice alternative when the Kirkland wine is unavailable.
The price on this Barolo is even more competitive coming in at $23.79, and it is around $30-$40 at most other outlets.
This is 100% Nebbiolo; it is pale ruby on the pour with aromas of ripe cherries; medium plus in body with firm, grippy tannins; big flavors of red fruit and almost like an orange chocolate; notes of leather and tobacco into the dusty dry finish.
A very nice Barolo at an attractive price, this is one Nebbiolo fans will not want to sleep on. It's not easy finding good Barolo like this under $25.
