There seems to be a lot of new Chianti Classico and Super Tuscan wines landing on Costco shelves right now, which is great news, and we probably won't have a chance to get to them all.
This is a new one for us that received 92 points from Wine Enthusiast in addition to the 92 points from James Suckling mentioned on the Costco placard.

Wine Enthusiast shows a retail price of $48, so we are getting a massive discount at Costco for only $16.99. Now the big question is whether this is truly a 92 point wine.
In short, it is. It's a beauty.
In the glass, the wine is a ruby red, with an herbal nose and red fruit aromas; grippy tannins, medium plus in body; black cherry, black plum; earthy with lighter notes of tobacco and vanilla; dusty dry finish.
What a joy to drink. We paired with meatballs made with Costco's Rao's red sauce which is hard to beat.

There is amazing value in Chianti Classico right now, and this bottle is the perfect example. Quite a strong buy at $16.99 and it earns a place on our Recommended wine list.
