Continuing our run of reviewing all the new Kirkland bottles arriving in stores, here's the latest vintage of another favorite, the Kirkland Gigondas.
This is on the early side for the arrival of this bottle. Usually it's December, last vintage was November, and now we're seeing it in October.
Everything else about this bottle is similar to prior vintages, and we wouldn't want it any other way.

The price is the same at $14.99. Same winemaker, Guillaume Gonnet, and same varietal blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre.
The 2023 vintage was our highest rated vintage of this wine to date at 91 points. Here are the rest of the scores since this bottle was introduced.

Getting into this new 2024 vintage, the similarities to the 2023 persist; this is an excellent wine and right there at 91 points.

The wine is a ruby red in the glass with red and dark fruit, earth and herbs on the nose; medium plus in body, firm tannins; vibrant flavors of black cherry, raspberry, plum surrounded by peppery spice, leather and tobacco; dry, lasting finish.
An excellent Rhone wine at a fantastic Costco price. Stock up on this one.

Tasty as the wine sounds (thanks for the thorough and loving review), I think the big glaring TYPO on the back label is even more delicious. I can’t recall ever seeing that kind of error in a KIrkland product (not that I see every product, but…)—it’s a collector’s item!
