This marks the fourth vintage for this Washington State red blend from the Kirkland label that we have historically enjoyed.
The first thing to notice is the price staying the same at $14.99. This is important because it was creeping up with the 2021 vintage to $16.99.
If you look at our ratings on the previous three bottles you see the ratings bumping up as the price decreases. Always a welcome sight.
2023 vintage: 90 points
2021 vintage: 89 points
2020 vintage: 88 points
It does look as though we missed the 2022 vintage, which Wine Enthusiast gave 90 points.
As we get into the 2024 vintage we taste a lot of the same as the prior one, and that's a very good thing.

The blend is similar, comprised of Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah, and we have the same winemaker, Gilles Nicault, who has made this wine since its inaugural vintage.
In the glass, the wine pours a dark ruby; dark berry fruit on the nose with herbs; medium in body, perhaps a little lighter than the prior vintage.

Flavors are deep black fruit, blackberry, blueberry, plum; good acidity with some dark chocolate, cocoa, toasted oak; spicy into the finish that grips tight.
We're in business once again with this new vintage. A solid buy at $15 and just what lovers (like us) want to find from this spectacular wine region.
