Yet another Kirkland wine with the price actually going down. We've always said that access to good Napa Cabernet at $15 was a deal. Now it's $14, and the wine hangs right there with past vintages.
This is the base level Cabernet that Kirkland bottles, and as you can see from our scores over the years, it has been an 88 pointer for us every time. It's a good buy, not an amazing one.

Alison Crowe is once again the winemaker with this new 2024 vintage, and she delivers just what fans of this bottle expect once again.
It's classic Napa, nothing special but not too shabby either. The wine pours a medium to deep ruby in the glass with earthy dark fruit aromas. Blueberry, blackberry flavors with some baking spice and vanilla into the finish with some lingering light oak.
We'll take the $1 off the price with this vintage, and give this one another decent thumbs up again as an inexpensive way to access Napa Valley Cabernet.

My wife really enjoys the Kirkland Signature 2024 Napa Valley Cabernet however she has stopped drinking as it stains her tongue a distinctive deep purple that is difficult to wash out. She has been drinking various Cabernets for 30 years and this was the only one to stain her tongue. Her dentist advised her to use a peroxide mouthwash to remove the stain. She will no longer purchase and drink the Kirkland2024 Napa Cabernet.
