One of our favorite Kirkland wines is back in stores with the latest vintage, and we made a special run to grab some the minute we saw it in stock in the Costco app.
We mostly see similarities with the prior vintage, which is great news because it was awesome, and just a small difference, the price.
This bottle is back up to $19.99, where it had been for a while, but it did drop to $18.99 last year. Over the years we have seen it reach as high as $22.

Still, for a very good and well made Chateauneuf, and this wine consistently falls in that camp, it remains a steal.
The varietal makeup is the same at 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Cinsault. Same winemaker as before too.
It's hard to believe but this is the 15th vintage of this wine that we've tasted, going all the way back to the 2009 vintage. And what a run:

Fans of this wine in the past will be right at home with this new 2024 bottle. It's everything you love about a good Chateauneuf, and everything you've come to expect from this Kirkland offering.

In the glass, this wine pours a medium ruby with aromas of dried red and black fruit, herbs and leather; medium in body with rich tannins, good acidity; flavors of black cherry, raspberry, plum; notes of clove, spice; dry, lingering finish.
A beauty once again, and one of those wines that lands right up our alley as big Rhone fans. 92 points from us once again. Stock up while you can because these move fast.

Bought a case of the 24 CdP, $18.99 at my store. Another terrific Costco bargain, competing with bottles 2,3,4X this cost. We now have 47 bottles of various CdP in temp. controlled storage. We love Southern Rhone Wines. I may go for another case on the next Costco visit if it is still in stock.

It seems that the price for wine is not standard for all Costco stores. You posted this CDP was $19.99 while someone said they could buy it for $18.99 at their store. At my store in Tampa Florida it’s $20.99. Why the variances?

It’s $20.99 as well in South Carolina.
Random observation. The glass for the 24 vintage is much thinner and lighter
than the ‘23. Put the two bottles on the kitchen scale and overall weight was 150grams lighter. Kinda interesting. Makes sense to keep the price under control.
