We love seeing that yellow band on the Costco placard, and especially on a new wine that looks promising, a Carneros Reserve Pinot.
Costco's standard price of $19.99 is already amazing considering that Wine Enthusiast, who rated the wine 90 points, shows a retail price of $55. With a $7 limited time Costco discount, it comes out the door for only $12.99.

That's a few bucks more than the Kirkland Carneros Pinot we tasted a few months ago and rated 87 points. For us, we feel it's worth the $4 to step up to this Clos de Napa bottle.
In the glass the wine is pale ruby with red and dark fruit aromas; moderate spice and medium in body; flavors of pomegranate, plum and raspberry; earth and tobacco notes toward the finish which is lasting with more spice.

A solid Pinot Noir at a very attractive price. Built a little bigger than others, packing a good punch, so Cabernet fans might find favor here too. WE score is right on the money in our opinion at 90 points.
