We had a feeling this might be a stunner, and yes, it delivered just as we hoped.
It's great to see another Barbaresco hit Costco shelves. As we noted in a review of the Ciabot Baronetto Barbaresco we reviewed a couple months ago, in our 1300+ reviews on this site, we just didn't see many of these wines. Until now.

Having recently wrapped a visit to Italy and tasting so much of what the country has to offer (wine and food), we are extra excited about many Italian wines, including Barbaresco, which is among our top picks for price to value.
This bottle is a perfect example, coming in at $20.99, which is a little less than we saw from other outlets online. The 92 points from James Suckling is really close to where we're going to land.

Medium ruby and garnet in the glass; perfumed nose; black cherry, plum flavors; medium bodied; nice acidity with firm tannins; leather, mocha notes into the very nice, dry finish.
This is an elegant and refined Italian red, perfect for all types of cuisine and company. Let's hope we see more Barbarescos like this one in Costco in the future.
