This is an exciting find at Costco; a highly rated Chardonnay under $20 that we have yet to try.
The ratings for this wine are beyond impressive and consistent. 94 from Dunnuck who is our favorite. 93 points from Spectator, Decanter and Suckling. And they're not wrong.

The wine hits Costco for $18.99 and looks to be going online for $23-$25.
The wine pours a medium gold in the glass with aromas of citrus and wild flowers. Flavors of white peach, lemon, green apple, pineapple come through beautifully and clean. Plenty of body, with balance and complexity throughout.

This is a huge find at an amazing price. A wine we wish we had known about sooner, and a perfect summer treat for almost any occasion. We will add to our Top Picks list.

Guys, nobody cared if you saved 32 cents at your local Costco. What did it taste like?

Precisely Matthew!
Finally had a chance to visit the local Costco and picked up a few bottles. I found the wine it two mostly full wooden boxes.
Short answer: not my favorite as I am prefer a little more oak. Wife and daughter, who prefer no to low oak, didn't care for it either. Not sure if a decant would have helped.
Regarding oak, it's often difficult for me to determine how long the wine sat in oak and how much was new oak. Another site I subscribe to often notes this info in the descriptions but if the vintner didn't provide it, it remains unknown.
I think there are better options (for my pallet) available for the price point. As a comparison to this reviewed wine, my pallet prefers the likes of Chateau Ste. Michelle (I no longer see it competing with the Kirkland in that price range, hmmm), Simi, and Frei Brothers Chardonnays. Higher price point Chards like Freemark Abbey, Raymond (a one time deal I haven't seen again), Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Karia float my boat, as well as a good Pouilly Fuisse.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!

Read the label. This is an excellent wine, no oak, a pure and precise expression of Chardonnay. I’ve had plenty of unoaked chards and this is a few steps above them. To compare this to a Chateau St Michelle or Simi, well, is wrong. Different palate all together, much higher quality. Clean, crisp, nice. Will be going back to pick up a few more bottles of this. Already taste it with scallops or shrimp and it will be delicious.
Cheers!
