We've been looking for the 2025 vintage of this Kirkland wine. There were reports of bottle variance last year, but everything we tasted (same for most readers) was good. This 2025 vintage seems to be on the mark too.
It is amazing how Costco has kept the price on this bottle so low, especially in this age of inflation. It had risen to $7.99 and then dropped back to $6.99 where it has stayed once again with the new vintage we are tasting today.

Assembling our ratings over the years, here's how this one shakes out. Yes, we've missed a few vintages here and there.
2012 vintage: 88 points
2014 vintage: 88 points
2019 vintage: 87 points
2023 vintage: 88 points
2024 vintage: 88 points
Super consistent 88 points for the most part, and that's right where this 2025 lands for us as well.

For fans of grassy, acidic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc this remains a solid buy and is exactly what you're expecting.
The wine is a light yellow in the glass with tropical fruit, wet stone and herbs on the nose; sharp acidity as you would expect, crisp as can be with flavors of lemon-lime, grapefruit and kiwi; nice mineral notes, some bell pepper; crisp, dry finish.
This wine again ranks right up there with the NZ staples like Kim Crawford and Oyster Bay but at half the price, exactly what you expect from the Kirkland wine portfolio.
