2026 Costco Wine Advent Calendar

It's here, the 2026 Costco Wine Advent Calendar, and we are thrilled to have found it near us this early.

This is always one of the most popular posts we do throughout the year, and this years box looks to redeliver a lot of what we've come to expect from this item.

The design this year incorporates a playful winter village theme. The branding is still the same as it's been the past few years using the Wine Advent-ure name which they reverted to back to in 2024. Prior to that, in 2023 it was call "Around The World in 24 Wines."

There are some similar wines from years past as well as some new ones. New countries represented include North Macedonia and Portugal, who enters with a port wine as well as a red blend.

Falling off the list from last year is the Japanese Sake (which was pretty good), and South African Chenin Blanc (just ok).

Looking at the selection by country, this year we get 6 bottles from France, 3 from Spain, 3 from the US, 2 from Chile and 1-2 from the other regions including Italy with only 1, which is interesting since they are usually one of the most represented areas in the past.

We won't give all the specifics up top here for those who want to enjoy the Advent surprise every day, but for those readers who are curious about the whole box, we've included the full details of the wines at the end of this story.

The producer of this box always creates a nice website with even more detail on the wines along with videos for each one.

The box includes 24 bottles that are 375ml (half) in size. We do enjoy having all the smaller bottles around during the holidays which is particularly useful when you want different wines without opening regular 750ml bottles of each.

The price stays the same at $99.99, which isn't bad for the volume of wine. Considering this equals the equivalent of 12 full sized bottles, that comes out to just over $8/bottle.

Sometimes, this box will drop in price if there are any left over after the holidays. We've seen that happen the past couple years.

Quality-wise, we're probably on par with what we've found in prior advent calendars; it's a mixed bag with some wines being better than others.

We did have a chance to taste the red blend from Portugal while writing this, which was pretty good; young and juicy but highly drinkable.

There are a couple what we would call "unique" bottles included this year. That would be the Racer 67 Pistachio Chocolate Grape Wine from France, the L'Artiste Citrus Lime "Aromatised wine based cocktail" also from France, and the Blu Blu Soju "style product grape wine" from the US.

We aren't sure what to make of those three, but it's always interesting to try something different, and that's the spirit behind these wines, to take a global "Wine Adventure."

It's hard to believe the holidays are almost here, and this is a fun box to have on hand during December of course, but we find ourselves digging in occasionally in the months leading up.
