Here's a Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc that caught our eye, and it's a bottle we've never seen at Costco before so it needed to be tasted and reviewed.
The retail price appears to be around $45 and it is selling online for $24; Costco's price of $17.99 beats them all, which we always love to see. 92 points from Suckling.
This wine is almost clear on the pour with a slight yellow tint; subtle nose, light citrus fruit; medium in body with flavors of lemon, lime, pineapple and apricot; super crisp and clean all around.
A nice, versatile Sauvignon Blanc that's an instant crowd pleaser, and not trying to be anything more than it is; a good buy under $20.
This one can really be enjoyed in any setting, whether it's a nice dinner, on the beach or on the back porch with friends. It's a wine we'd buy again, and would look forward to trying future vintages.
