We’re back in the cheap seats again, and we found another one that is pretty good, very drinkable, and of course, inexpensive.
Just a few posts ago, we highlighted this $5.99 Bordeaux find that we rated 87 points. This Bordeaux Superieur is right in that same ballpark. And once again a good bottle to serve as your everyday table wine.
The wine pours a medium purple and has a subtle nose of dried dark fruit; it is medium in body, and very pleasant all around, just a bit one dimensional. Flavors of blackberry, plum, and anise; simple, dry finish.
This one is really not bad at all, and a good bargain find under $10 at Costco.
We hope exploring some of these off-beat wines hidden in the stacked boxes of wines (“cheap seats”) help you find some good value buys to try. We’re enjoying it quite a bit.
