2023 Costco Wine Thanksgiving Picks

2023 Costco Wine Thanksgiving Picks

Thanksgiving is here upon us again, and we’re going to look through some recent reviews to try to pick out some good wines you can (hopefully) find at Costco for the big meal.

This is always a fun list (here’s last years), and we tend to go a little all over the place in our recommendations.

Depending on what you are serving and how you prepare everything, there is going to be a mix of different flavors and styles. Combine that with diverse wine tastes among your crowd, and it really is open season on what to pair.

As we’ve mentioned before, our tastes generally lean towards Pinot Noir, interesting whites and Champagne. You can’t go wrong with that trio.

We are also going to try and list wines here that we’ve seen in stores recently since many of the wines we’d like to recommend are likely long gone for most of us.

So let’s get into it, and of course, we look forward to hearing your favorites in the comments at the end.

2019 E Guigal Cotes du Rhone Rouge

Probably no surprise here for long time readers. Cotes du Rhone is delicious with anyone, anytime and Thanksgiving is no exception. E Guigal makes a great one at Costco for only $12.99. [our review]

2022 Hanna Sauvignon Blanc Russian River Valley

This is a great Sauvignon Blanc we’ve tasted a few times now. It’s $13.79 and really checks every box for Sauv Blanc fans in our opinion. [our review]

Veuve Clicquot Brut Champagne Yellow Label

Yes, kind of an obvious one to list, but we continue to enjoy this classic Champagne. $48.99 at Costco and we don’t think too many people will complain if you serve them this. [our review]

2022 Invivo X by Sarah Jessica Parker Sauvignon Blanc

This might be the wine that surprised us the most in recent memory. $13.79 and absolutely delicious. Still in stores too as we saw it last night and bought a couple more. Better pre or post meal. [our review]

2021 Gustave Lorentz Riesling Alsace Reserve

We just saw this Riesling from Alsace still in stores too, and we loved it. $14.99 and it’s clean, crisp, dry and perfect for the Thanksgiving table. [our review]

2020 Elouan Pinot Noir

Here’s a great Pinot for $17.99 we saw in stores the other day. It’s widely available elsewhere too for about the same price as Costco. A solid Oregon Pinot at a great price. [our review]

2017 Vina Pomal Rioja Reserva

Of course we have to get a Spanish wine in here. Spain remains the mecca for ridiculous value and here’s a perfect example: a delicious Rioja we gave 90 points and can be scored for $13. [our review]

Kirkland Signature Champagne

And finally, a Kirkland bottle. If you don’t mind showing your guests the Kirkland label, for $20 the Kirkland Champagne is always a great way to pour a lot of good bubbly without breaking the bank. [read our review]

And that’s our list for 2023 Thanksgiving wine picks from Costco.

Please share your favorites in the comments below, and thanks for following the site. Cheers everyone.

Kudos! I'd say you nailed it. Great choices. Since we always have oysters in our stuffing, we added a Chablis.

I didn't find any of these wines at one of the busiest Costos (Aurora Village) in Washington state.

Unfortunately, the warehouse near Boston has only one of the non-sparklers on this list.

Seems like what you get near Atlanta may not reflect many other places.
