It's always a treat to find new Rioja on Costco shelves, and even sweeter when it comes with a huge limited time discount like we found on this one.
This bottle is $20, on sale for half price, only $9.99. No indication of the timeframe for the limited time discount, so it's possible this is one of those cases where $9.99 becomes the standard price.
On top of that amazing price is the fact that this is 2019 Rioja, giving us some nice age already built in, and the wine, as expected, is in a perfect drinking window right now.
Medium ruby and garnet in the glass; nose of red fruit, plum and earth; integrated tannins brings a touch of elegance; medium plus in body with flavors of cherry, plum, and blackberry; light oak and leather in the dry finish.
A solid wine, 90 points from us, with an exceptional price Costco that makes it a strong buy for Spanish red fans.

Well maybe I didn’t let it breathe long enough but I was disappointed in everything but the price. Thought it had a weak taste profile and I dumped the rest of the bottle after a couple of mouthfuls.

yeah not a fan. lacks any character. boxed kirkland cab is better.
