Here's a new Rioja hitting Costco shelves that checks quite a few boxes in our book, and turned out to be absolutely delicious in the end.
94 points from Wine Advocate as indicated on the placard. We also found a 94 point score from Wine Enthusiast for this bottle.

We are getting a nice price here too at $14.79. Online the price is around $25. We just came off this amazing $10 Rioja, and now we have another delicious and very reasonably priced one to try (and similar in a lot of ways).
This wine pours a deep ruby in the glass with earthy aromas of black cherry and herbs; medium in body, well integrated tannins make this soft and delightful in the mouth; flavors of red and dark fruit, cherry, blackberry; a little mocha; dry, elegant finish.

This is a top notch Rioja at a fantastic Costco price in a perfect drinking window with 6 years of age built in. A nice find and a perfect addition to our Top Picks list.

Although I am enthusiastic about Spanish wines, I see very few of these in our Issaquah, WA Costco. Might it be that given the quantity available and the longer distance that results in added freight costs, these wines mostly end up at Costcos on the east coast?

How can I find out which Costco stores carry which wines featured in the wine blog?

I subscribe to Robert Parker and for the life of me I cannot find a review of this wine on his site. This seems kind of scammy. Please provide proof of a 94 point review.

Advocate was mentioned on the in store Costco sign that is pictured.

Have had several of these since I found it at my Costco in Knoxville. 94 is a a very high score but I gave it a 91 on Cellartracker because for 15$ it’s an absolute bargain. It has some complexity and fully mature at this point. Delicious.
