We typically find the Decoy line of wines from Duckhorn to give a decent bang for the buck, and we're seeing quite a few of them pop up at Costco nowadays.
The last one we reviewed was the Sauvignon Blanc, which was pretty good. We were bigger fans of the Sonoma red blend, which we tasted a while back. Pretty sure there are a couple other ones in stores right now too, so perhaps we'll try to review those.
Taking a look at this sparkling bottle, retail price is around $20, so Costco's $14.99 price is a pretty good discount. Wine Spectator went 90 points which is pretty high.
In the glass, this wine pours a medium straw with light citrus fruit and pear on the nose; more citrus fruit in the mouth with some apple flavor; nice effervescence and a good bubbly overall.
While this is totally enjoyable, there are other Costco bubbly selections we'd probably go to before this one.
The Gloria Ferrer wines are always a favorite and priced similarly, and it is almost impossible not to want to spend $5 more and step up to the Kirkland Champagne, which we always love.

I agree Kirkland Champagne is the best "Bang for the Buck". Unfortunately Ohio raised the price from $19.99 to $29.99!!
Not such a good deal at that price! Ohio liquor laws are driving people to other states as the prices you post on this sight are ALWAYS much higher in Ohio. Good thing we still have the Florence KY store not too far away.

Yes, on the Gloria Ferrer! We’ve picked up more than a few this year at our Costco. They’re a steal at their price. Hard to believe that if you bought them from the winery in Sonoma they’re $30.

Though I have 'used' The Kirkland Champagne on certain occasions, I can only recommend it on price. Five dollars more at a certain CA retailer gives me numerous choices for better quality.

And there's always Kirkland Prosecco at $7.99, quite satisfactory for us.

as with any selection of anything - value and enjoyment/satisfaction varies from person to person. I keep 6 boits of champagne in my cabinet at any time - included usually are 2 boits of the Kirkland brand. Over the years I've enjoyed the best of the best shere and abroad - thanks to expense accounts -honestly - would not drop more than $50 or so on any brand given the high end boits do not meet the true incremental value/satisfaction derived for the most part - but that is just one opinion.

Rack and Riddle. California appellation. Youre better off with Cava or Crement.
