It was only a few months ago when we reviewed the 2020 vintage of this wine from the Duckhorn portfolio, so we were a little surprised to see this new one hit stores.
As we’ve mentioned in the past, we find Duckhorn and their Decoy line (big fans of the Sonoma red blend) to consistently deliver good wine at good prices. So we decided to pop this new vintage in the cart and see how it stacked up to the previous one.
The price stayed the same at $14.99 which is what you can find this wine for at other stores as well. Retail is around $20.
Similar tasting notes to the prior vintage, but perhaps a tad more green apple coming through on this one. Pale yellow on the pour with citrus fruit; nice acidity and mouthfeel, crisp into the finish.
This remains a solid Sauvignon Blanc for under $20. We’re going to keep our rating the same at 87 points.
