2013 King Estate Acrobat Pinot Gris

2013 King Estate Acrobat Pinot Gris

King Estate Acrobat Pinot Gris 2013I thought this was an amazing buy for only $11 at Costco.  I’m a fan of King Estate wines, so was anxious to dig into this bottle which is priced below their other wines that you can frequently find at Costco too.  For an entry level white, regardless of your favorite varietal, this is one you will definitely want to consider.

Unusual depth and character for so such a low priced wine.  This one kept my attention throughout an entire evening of grilling pineapple/bacon chicken sausage with vegetables and relaxing on a beautiful evening post dinner.  This wine offers excellent fruit flavor (mostly apple, pear and peach) matched with a vanilla/cream character.  That’s why it serves equally as a dinner complement and dessert.

I’m going to keep a few of these on hand to close out the summer months.  At this price, it’s hard to find such a versatile, crowd pleasing wine as I found this one to be.  An addition to our Top Picks list.
