Overall, this is a very elegant, well balanced, flavor packed, enjoyable wine. Aromas of ripe fruit and dried herbs. In the mouth, this wine is medium to full in body, tight tannins, plenty of red fruit with chocolate undertones. Towards the end the spice character picks up. The finish is long and sticky. I'm really enjoying this wine, even more than I originally thought that I might.
The blend is 40% Aragonez (which you may know as Tempranillo), 30% Syrah and 30% Touriga Nacional (Portugal's premier grape and one that is gaining in popularity around the globe). If you see this wine at your Costco, think about being a little adventurous and dropping it in your cart. I have a feeling you might be surprised.
