It's been a while since we reviewed the Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon so thought we'd freshen it up a bit.
The last vintage was the 2019 we reviewed about two years ago, and enjoyed it, going a solid 90 points.

Costco's price is $27.89 which is about as good as anywhere we've seen this bottle. It's $31.99 at Total Wine, and retail is closer to $42. Costco's price has stayed this low for years as the 2019 vintage was also $27.89.
This is just classic Napa Cabernet, and a good representation of the quality jump you get in that $20-$30 a bottle range.
The wine pours a dark ruby in the glass with aromas of cherry, light oak and herbs; it is medium plus to full in body with a nice combo of red and dark berry fruit; cherry, some plum, little mocha and spice into the finish which is nice and lasting.
This is a solid choice for CA Cab under $30, and we're keeping our rating right at 90 points. A lot to like here from this consistent performer.
