New vintage spotted: 2018 Kirkland Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva

Published: Mar 19, 2025 by Editor · 11 Comments

Kirkland Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva

Thank you to a reader Matthew in Palm Beach Gardens Florida who spotted this one. The Kirkland Ribera del Duero is back!

Here are pics of the 2018 vintage. And this is big news because the last time we reviewed this bottle was the 2014 vintage. We thought it had disappeared....until now.

Kirkland Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva

Keep an eye out, and we hope to find and review soon. Cheers.

Wow that’s quite a price jump but I will definitely check it out. I absolutely adore the 12 Linajes Reserva Ribera that I purchase regularly at the Hoover location for $19.

No worries! The price was in error being new to the location, and it IS back at regular 13.99$!!!

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know the Costco item number for this wine? I'd like to check on it at my local stores and it's easier to do with the number.

@JA that sounds about right. I saw this "Kirkland aberration" and of course had to give it a try, though it's been in the cellar ever since purchase. Not a fan of the 15% ABV and will have to pace myself. 😉

For those of you who have enjoyed this wine, do you have any food paring suggestions?

All who asked about the item number, I looked for a receipt but it's already been shredded and cannot find any in the local stores with the app. Sorry about that. You can use the app to search on the name and see if that produces results (did not for me as this wine has moved on from our region).

We got 32 people stating how they have purchased this and not one review? What is this, the dementia crowd?

Here's a little tip: I drank half a bottle and then placed the remaining half in the fridge. After 24 hours, I enjoyed the rest, and the last glass was amazingly good. It really tasted like a full-bodied Ribera, and it had developed beautifully after sitting for a day.
