Update: our full review is now live
We've been thrilled with some of the new addition to the Kirkland wine portfolio from France that have popped up in the last few years.
This includes the return of the Pauillac Bordeaux, the new Saint Emilion Grand Cru, and the semi new Vacqueyras. All fantastic wines.
But just today a reader sent in a picture of a new Kirkland Margaux Bordeaux. This is a huge deal and one of our favorite regions for wine in the world (Chateau Palmer being a personal favorite).
The vintage is 2023 and the price is $19.99 which is right where you want it. We googled around the info on the back label, but were unable to determine for sure who the producer for this one might be.
Item number is 789115. This could be one to seek out, and a good cellar candidate too. We hope to find near us soon. Cheers.

I pickup up a couple of bottles at the West Tampa, Florida store this past Monday (10/13/25). I haven't tried it yet.

The cork says Henri Lurton - mis en bouteille a la propriete, Grand Vin. The back of the label shows SVHL (SOCIETE VITICOLE HENRI LURTON) as the producer. He is the owner of Château Brane-Cantenac, and looking at their website, I'm guessing this is their "Margaux De Brane" bottling at a discount. I'm not a wine guy - my wife says it tastes very French. We are trying it with a Mama Cozzi's (ALDI) pizza, though it would go better with red meat.

Nice job on the sleuthing. Sounds like you may have it right on the mark and that would be just fine with us.
(Looked for it around Atlanta this weekend but not here yet)

The identity of the producer is on the cork--decidedly Henri Lurton, a well respected Margaux winemaker. Only two years old, its taste improves the longer the bottle is opened. In 1962, my sister and I visited Bordeaux in my Fiat 1200, and we stopped for the night at a small hotel in the Margaux area. Although the kitchen had closed, the owner warmed up a delicious chicken stew, served with an unmarked Margaux from the area. The meal hit the spot--I hope that was Henri Lurton too.

Unrelated but kinda related. I saw a new? Bordeaux at the store: Vieilles Vignes Château Montfollet. 70-20-10 merlot-cab-malbec. Dirt cheap was like $6.8x something worth a shot.

Arrived at Costco #1694 Prosper, TX last week. Bought and tasted, delicious and worth every penny in my opinion. Was really good on all three days after opening. It should age well but is very good now. Contrasted to the KS Pauillac it didn't need the extra time to open up.
