Here’s a new Pinot Noir from a familiar name, King Estate, whose Pinot Gris has graced Costco shelves for many years.
This is their Inscription Pinot Noir which is sourced from multiple vineyards throughout Oregon’s Willamette Valley, which we all know is a haven for great Pinot.

Costco brings in this bottle at $16.99, which is less than the retail price of $20, but about the same as you’ll find it at Total Wine or other online outlets.
And what a delicious Pinot this turned out to be. Medium ruby in the glass with vibrant aromas of red fruit and earth; superb mouthfeel, medium body with smooth tannins; flavors of black cherry, raspberry and plum; mouth coating, lasting finish.

It’s not easy finding good Pinot like this under $20, but they did it right here. A delight to drink, and confirms Oregon once again as a powerhouse for very good, and in this case, rather affordable, Pinot Noir.

If you can buy this in the club, you are looking at a minimum $8.00 per bottle discount!
Amazed that someone that focuses on Costco continues to discount the savings from Costco.
You do an amazing job on history but I read you to get access to great value wines!

A big part of the value we aim to bring to readers is a brief price analysis in addition to the tasting notes and opinion on the quality of the wine. What we are highlighting here is that Costco's price is the exact same as Total Wine. Usually, we get a better deal at Costco which creates a reason to buy at Costco (or buy more at Costco) vs somewhere else.

It is in stock at Total Wine near us for $16.99 which is what we based that point on.
We expect Costco, to more often than not, offer the best price. We want to let readers know when that's not the case, or if it's the same elsewhere.
Doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it at Costco. Just don't be surprised if you see it at that price somewhere else.

I suspect you saw a Total Wine banner ad for $16.99 but you didn’t search to see if it was available locally. I did! I searched for it using the available all store filter and it was not available anywhere! The closest on-line retailer was $19.99 plus shipping.

The closest Total Wine has it for $17.97. It is $17.99 at the local Binny's.
