This is an absolutely delicious Chardonnay from California’s Carneros region and a bottle that frequently makes an appearance at Costco priced around $29.99. In a comparison with Total Wine, the price was about the same, and online it creeps into the $33-$35 range. For anywhere in this price range, I think this one is definitely worth the money.
The wine starts with citrus aromas on the nose, some spice, vanilla, and butter. In the mouth this wine is medium in body with lovely apple and peach flavors, followed by vanilla, a touch of butter, cream and subtle oak; vibrant acidity and a lasting finish. I could drink this anytime.
It is super food friendly too. I had the chance to try with a little sushi and later some Manchego cheese, and it was very nice with both.
I visited Rombauer on a recent trip to Napa and had a chance to sample many of their different wines, almost all of which I really enjoyed (their Zinfandel was surprisingly tasty as well). They produce a handful of single vineyard Chardonnays that are fantastic as well.
We’ll add this bottle to our Recommended Wine list. Enjoy.

I have the KS Rioja and will get to reviewing it soon. Typically a very good buy at only $6.99

My wife loves this wine. Very oaky which is her favorite!
Also, just saw the 2012 rioja at my costco (waltham, ma)! I can't wait to try it. Hope it is as good as the 11.
