2023 Cune Albarino Rias Baixas

Published: Sep 21, 2024 · Modified: Jan 10, 2025 by Editor ·

Cune Albarino Rias Baixas

Cune is a producer who we always associated with red Tempranillo wines, and in a very good way, so it was a surprise to us to see this Albarino pop up from them at Costco.

It also seems to be getting increasingly more difficult to find good Albarino under $15 as prices on many of the popular labels seem to be rising nowadays.

Cune Albarino Rias Baixas

$13.99 for this bottle makes it a strong buy. Online the price seems to be around $16-$18. And as we get into the wine, it is exactly what we hoped.

Citrus fruit on the nose, crisp; medium in body; flavors of peach, apple, apricot; just super refreshing with a nice tanginess throughout.

Cune Albarino Rias Baixas

If you're into Albarinos from Burgans, or Martin Codax (or any other the other popular ones) this one will be right up your alley.

Our only complaint is that we'd love to see this bottle hit stores in the spring so we can enjoy it all summer long.

I'm bummed. I've checked both of my nearby Costco Warehouses in metro Atlanta (Brookhaven, Sandy Springs), and neither one carries the Albariño. I've actually been very disappointed with the wine selection at both of those locations.

That’s too bad I would have guessed one of those two stores would carry it.
