A Look at The Coravin Model One Available at Select Costcos

coravin

The Coravin wine preservation system is something that we’ve always been curious about.  The system allows you to extract wine from a bottle by pushing a small needle through the cork which then reseals itself when the needle is pulled out.  The gap in the bottle where the extracted wine once lived is refilled with argon gas, allowing the bottle to be preserved and enjoyed later.

This allows you to effectively dip into your bottles to enjoy a glass without having to open the entire bottle.

It’s an ingenious idea, and we’ve seen the systems available at select Costco stores.  It’s not an inexpensive contraption by any means, so we wanted to put it through its paces and see if we felt it was worth the investment.

Read our entire review at our sister website, Winemodo.com.  And let us know in the comments if you’ve seen the system at a warehouse near you, and of course, please share any thoughts if you have one.
