This Chilean bottle is definitely a different style of Sauvignon Blanc, a little more mineral and earthy than those you will find in other parts of the world. It took me a little while to warm up to it, and while it has a little unpleasantness toward the finish, the rest of the experience helps making up for it. At $13.89, I would say this is just an ok buy; worth it if you’re interested in trying a little different style of Sauvignon Blanc.
The wine is a very clear yellow on the pour, vibrant nose that kind of smells like the beach. In the mouth, the wine starts with a burst of citrus flavor, then becomes a little tarty from the healthy acidity; toward the finish is really where the mineral component enters, a little stone, into a finish that is unique no doubt, but got a little tiring for me after a while.
