Here's a Malbec at Costco that caught our eye and is a wine we've never reviewed.
We weren't sure what to make of the "golden reserve" designation exactly, but as you can see on the back label below, the wine comes from 100 year old vines, and the wine is aged for 12 months in oak.
Costco's price is $15.49, below the retail of $20, and note the price ending in $0.49 which indicates that Costco worked out a special price with the producer so this is likely the best price you'll find.

Solid 90+ point ratings for this wine too across the board, and across every recent vintage: 93 from Suckling, 91 from Wine Enthusiast and 90 points from Wine Spectator.
This wine is a medium to dark ruby in the glass with ripe dark fruit and spice on the nose; medium to full in body with firm tannins; robust fruit flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum; solid finish with subtle mocha notes and oak.

This is a delicious Malbec and a fantastic buy at Costco right now. Malbec fans should be scooping these up while you can. 91 points from us and a spot on our Top Picks list.

Not a widely known winery in Argentina, but it is a powerhouse in UK sales and consumption, and you can find it by the glass at most restaurants. A very solid wine. Not surprised you guys liked it. I am in Argentina now, but as soon as I get back to my home in LA, I will grab a couple of bottles. Very good deal.

Does Suckling have a 90+ rating on Boone's Farm?

Wow, this is such a good Malbec! Really smooth and full of flavor, with lots of dark fruit, plum and a little spice. It’s rich without being too heavy, and the finish is super smooth. Definitely one of my favorite Argentine Malbecs I’ve tried would happily buy this one again!
