This was kind of an interesting new find in the Rose aisle, and we figured we give it a shot to let you know what to expect.
This is Rose from Spain made from Pinot Noir; not a varietal you see all the time in Spanish Rose. Often these Spanish rose, and Spanish bubbly rose, are made with Grenache, Monastrell or Tempranillo.
Costco brought this one in for $11.99 which seems like a good price. Online we are seeing it go for around $16.
In the glass the wine is a light pink; not a lot on the nose that we picked up, rather muted red berry fruit; in the mouth, more red berry flavor, raspberry with a little vanilla and lemon cream.
Not bad, not outstanding; easily drinkable but we find a little more to like in the Kirkland Provence Rose that came out recently which is also more affordable.
We’re going 87 point here. Rose fans who want to try something a little different should give it a shot. Otherwise, you might find others equal or better in the same price range, or for less at Costco.

How would you compare this to the Muga rose (Cumberland, I think)

We’ve never tried their rose. Just their Rioja and Blanc. Will look for it.

Had a Pinot Cava once that was outstanding. Keep looking. I have not seen one for a while. I will try this if it is available here in Wash.

A 33% discount “seems to be a good price”? I regularly see comments like this without any justification. If your criteria is only price against online competitors, it is an outstanding value!
If quality of wine for price is not a good value, you should tell us why!

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.
