2022 Alkina Kin Shiraz Barossa Valley

2022 Alkina Kin Shiraz Barossa Valley

This is a solid new find in the Costco wine aisle and one that we enjoyed quite a bit.

This bottle is $19.99 at Costco which looks to be at least a few bucks less than other outlets, and it received 92 points from Wine Advocate. Once we got into it we found a wine that is young, juicy and definitely ready to drink right now.

It pours a deep dark purple in glass with woody spice on the nose; flavors of raspberry, cranberry with blackberry and black currant; nice acidity with a good lasting finish.

This is just what you want from a Barossa Shiraz. We visited Australia earlier this year and tasted several bottles that are similar to this in quality at much higher price points.

This wine is super food friendly; we paired with smoked pull pork. This is a bottle we hope to see around warehouses for years to come.
