This is a classic Chateauneuf-du-Pape coming into Costco for $29.99, and offers a nice follow on bottle for fans of the Kirkland Chateauneuf that might be starting to sell through at many stores.
The varietal makeup is exactly the same as the Kirkland bottle too, coming in at: 70% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 10% Cinsault. Price is a little higher of course, but you're still getting wine from a premier region at a great price.

In the glass, this wine is a medium ruby with a spicy, herbal nose; the wine is medium plus in body with good depth; loads of red and dark berry fruit, black cherry, plum with a touch of anise; super long, peppery finish.
Just like we like these CdPs. We actually enjoyed this bottle with friends alongside a 2016 Chateauneuf-du-Pape (fantastic vintage), and this one was clearly better.

We're going to keep our score right on par with the Kirkland Chateauneuf-du-Pape and recommend fans of that wine and this region explore this bottle one too.
