A regular reader of the site who is good at sniffing out Costco wine values alerted us to this bottle, on sale with a limited time discount (thanks Anne).
Costco's normal price is $11.99 which is already nice since retail is around $17 and online the bottle goes for $15. Until 5/19 though, you can score another $5 off, bringing the price down to only $6.99, which we can get behind.

And the wine hits the mark too. We love Spanish wines, and we love them from Navarra. We wrote a whole chapter about it in our Spanish wine book. Spain is where to look for wine values right now, and this bottle is a perfect example.
You can see on the Costco sign, this bottle was awarded 92 points from Wine Enthusiast, and while our tasting notes mirror their comments, the score might be a tad high. We're going high 80's.
The wine is a medium to deep ruby in the glass with a very aromatic nose of red fruit, clove; medium plus in body, great fruit, mostly cherry, plum flavor; peppery finish is super dry.
This is a nice wine and a really good buy for $7. We wouldn't imagine these will last very long once word gets out. Glad we tasted this one.

The 2021 Navarra cab seems to only be available in So Cal and a few stores on the gulf coast. No plans to have in in the NW where I am in Seattle

I bought a few bottles last week to try. Went back the next day for a case. A really nice wine.

@Al Cast, where are you located?

Found the Navarra Cab 111 at the Bradenton FL Costco and the sign said sale was good they 5/26. Brought home 6. Can't wait to try!

Since I am just back from a self-directed wine tour of northern Spain (a great trip), I was quite please to see the 111 bottle at my local Costco in Montana. Once a got the bottle home I realized that it is not the cab but a Red Blend----85% garnacha and 15% cabernet. No complaints though as the wine is a great bargain at that price, and would also note that it is classified as a Reserva wine. Pricing is similar to what you reference, and I plan to head back for a case.

I think we got a bad bottle. Tasted a bit like vinegar, cherry vinegar.

I have to agree with Steve, below. I’d add that the bottles I found showed a 93 rating by WE. I’ve never experienced such an escalation on their part previously. Standard logic would say that you either get a $5 bottle or a 93, but not both, and standard logic would be correct in this case as well.
