We ran into a huge corner stack of these bottles on a Costco visit this morning and we are posting out of cycle because wanted to get this live as fast as possible given this substantial discount that ends on 1/26.
This is a Carneros Pinot Noir actually owned by Gloria Ferrer who produces lovely sparkling wines out of Sonoma (awesome winery to visit too). This Pinot though shows a Costco price of $24.99, with a huge $15 off, bringing it down to only $9.99. Almost hard to believe.
A quick online search shows this bottle selling on Wine.com for $46, and an average Vivino price of $51. So finding this at Costco for only $10 is a screaming bargain.
The only question that remains is how is the wine? We're happy to report that it is very good; this is quite the Pinot buy right now if you can find it.
The wine is a medium ruby the glass, with dark fruit aromas; excellent mouthfeel, medium body, mellow tannins with a little age on them and good acidity; more dark fruit, black cherry, blackberry, blueberry; subtle spice, good finish.
We imagine these will fly off shelves with this massive discount so Pinot fans may want to stock up on first contact. It might be the last. What a find.
