2019 WindVane Carneros Pinot Noir Estate Grown

Published: Jan 20, 2025 by Editor ·

WindVane Pinot Noir

We ran into a huge corner stack of these bottles on a Costco visit this morning and we are posting out of cycle because wanted to get this live as fast as possible given this substantial discount that ends on 1/26.

This is a Carneros Pinot Noir actually owned by Gloria Ferrer who produces lovely sparkling wines out of Sonoma (awesome winery to visit too). This Pinot though shows a Costco price of $24.99, with a huge $15 off, bringing it down to only $9.99. Almost hard to believe.

WindVane Pinot Noir

A quick online search shows this bottle selling on Wine.com for $46, and an average Vivino price of $51. So finding this at Costco for only $10 is a screaming bargain.

The only question that remains is how is the wine? We're happy to report that it is very good; this is quite the Pinot buy right now if you can find it.

The wine is a medium ruby the glass, with dark fruit aromas; excellent mouthfeel, medium body, mellow tannins with a little age on them and good acidity; more dark fruit, black cherry, blackberry, blueberry; subtle spice, vanilla, good finish.

We imagine these will fly off shelves with this massive discount so Pinot fans may want to stock up on first contact. It might be the last. What a find.

Wow thanks for the information! I have been to that winery and it’s a good one. Hard to believe that price, they must have been desperate to sell for some reason and Costco got a huge discount! Too bad it snowed here in Carolina and we can’t get out! Or I would go check to see if Wilmington has any???

Just did a search via the trusty Costco app and of the past six or so reviews, the only bottle in stock at my local No VA Costco was the Gigondas.

I found some in Myrtle Beach. FYI, the sign said the price is good through 2/9/25.

So I went to the Costco in Kennesaw, GA and they had none in stock. Not even an empty display where they used to be. But the Woodstock location apparently has 300 bottles. Did it just disappear that quickly from Kennesaw?

Must have. There was a ton when we were there. But this is one of the biggest discounts we’ve ever seen. Not surprised they flew off shelves. Hope you find it.

I was at Kennesaw at 9:30 this morning and there was a case and a half left - randomly displayed atop another stack of wine. I bought one case.

Ran to my Naples Costco to get the Windvane Pinot. They say they never got this wine and they are the biggest Costco wine sales in season. Very disappointed!

Plenty available at peach tree city, ga. Something wrong with this wine! Bought several bottles and now stuck with it. Not smooth , not much anything. Should have knocked it down to 2 bucks!

Wow. I really wasn't expecting to see this in our Costco because I figured it was limited amounts, but...there it was. Bought four bottles and, now that I have tasted it, wished I bought a few more. Steal for $10

BTW, love your blog. We are in Savannah, so it's nice that you are in ATL - gives me a lot of hope that we can find the same wines because we're in the same region.

I would have liked to try it but when I got the bottle home and opened it, the cork had disintegrated rendering the wine to turn. Of course, Costco will not replace so I guess I'll try the Winery in Sonoma
