We have to go all the way back to December of 2016 to find our last review of this wine, although we’ve seen it multiple times at Costco since then and tasted it quite a few more times too.
We must have overlooked how long it had been since we posted about it. And it’s a shame because it is a delicious wine, year after year, that readers should definitely explore.
Costco’s price has actually come down over the years, hitting $15.99 today from $19.99 where it was a few years back, which is closer to the retail price.
It’s also a perfect case in point why we love Washington State wine so much.
In the glass, the wine is a deep ruby with a vibrant nose of juicy cherry and spice. The wine is full bodied with flavors of cherry, boysenberry, raspberry; nice depth with mocha notes towards the nice, lingering finish.
A beauty once again in this new vintage, and a very competitive Costco price. Go get ‘em.

The Intrinsic is always good, and great for the price. We prefer the Intrinsic Red Blend, but Costco seems to never carry that.

While I agree that Intrinsic is okay juice, I have to disagree with the score. This is just Ste. Michelle Wine Estates finding another label they can use for the massive amount of bulk juice they have.

@Brent, I haven't had it, but I have to agree. It seems that the last year, there have been a lot of higher scores. It used to be that a 90 earned a "Top Pick" now most are 90+. I have always agreed with the authors but it seems there is a deviation from the norm lately. That being said, I still find the blog quite useful.
