This is an impressive Bordeaux for only $10.99 at Costco, tasting like something you’d have expected to pay $20-$25 for. You don’t often see the Cru Bourgeois label placed on a wine priced this low. That was the first tip off that I might be on to something when I noticed a few cases of this wine stuffed in between some larger displays. I’d recommend looking for it if you enjoy big, strong, dry and dusty Bordeaux.
Perfume nose, hints of red fruit, lead into dark fruit flavors, pretty rich, scents of tobacco, lots of power behind this wine; finishes chalky and dry. 14.5% alcohol so there’s some heft to it to. The blend is almost half Merlot, half Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Cabernet Franc.
As a 2010 this wine was ready to go. A little air helped, but this guy was ready to be consumed. Pretty solid on the first glass. I figured this would be an enjoyable wine, but it exceeded my expectations since it only cost $11. A definite buy for Bordeaux fans and red wine lovers. I’ll add to our Top Picks list.

At which Atlanta Costco did you find this wine? I've found that the selection varies significantly from one store to another.

Kennesaw has it in the bulk pallet stack section. Bought a case myself last week.

I can't remember for sure but it was either Cumberland or Kennesaw. I buy from both those stores often.
