Here's a classic Kirkland bottle that's back in the latest vintage. It historically hasn't been a chart topper for us, landing pretty middle of the road most years.
The good news is the price is ridiculously low once again at only $6.99. This vintage is made by the same producer, Broquel, and same winemaker, Sergio Case, who have been making this wine since the 2015 vintage.

Here's where we've landed over the years, consistently finding this one in the 86-88 range.

For the new 2023 vintage, we're keeping our rating the same at 87 points. It's not a bad wine, but maybe getting a little tired for us Costco wine fanatics who have been tasting it year after year.
The wine pours a medium purple in the glass with light earthy berry fruit on those nose; medium in body, a little more spice than we noted last year; tight tannins and a little on the bitter side, but gets better with some air. Nice red and dark fruit, pretty good finish.

About what we expected, but always hoping for more. If you've enjoyed this one in the past, it's going to be right in line.
Sticking with our 87 points, and happy to see the amazing price on the placard for another year.

Thanks for the review. Always good, and a great value, but I was also hoping for a little more in the 2023.

Agree with the review. This Kirkland Signature Malbec from 2023 is a gem for laid-back sipping. It's perfect for those relaxed days when you just want to unwind under the sun, anytime from dawn to dusk. In Argentina, we call it 'soda y vino,' mixing soda water with wine in equal parts, creating a refreshing and enjoyable drink. Ideal for casual sipping without breaking the bank.
