We are glad to see this one in stores in October, and right on the heels of us finding the latest vintage of the Kirkland Columbia Valley Red Blend, which we really enjoyed giving it 90 points.
Good news for this straight Cab too with the price staying the same at $9.79, which has always been such a good deal for this wine (and it is once again).
The last time we posted about this wine, the Costco placard had the asterisk in the top corner, aka, the "death star," meaning the item will be discontinued. So good to see it back in the latest vintage (and this time with no asterisk).

This marks the 6th vintage of this wine that we've tasted. Here's where we've landed over the years.
2018 vintage: 88 points
2019 vintage: 88 points
2020 vintage: 88 points
2021 vintage: 87 points
2022 vintage: 88 points
And...we once again get exactly what we are expecting with this new 2023 vintage. Very similar to years past, which is a very good thing, and leaning on the higher 88 point side of things.

It's a dark ruby in the glass, with a big combo of dark fruit: blackberry, blueberry, plum and black cherry; medium plus in body; notes of cedar, spice and vanilla towards the finish. Just what we were expecting from this wine.
This is a classic Kirkland wine buy offering high quality juice at an unbeatable price. 88 points once again from us, and one to stock up on before it sells through.
