It's hard to believe we've never reviewed a Barbaresco for this site after 1300+ reviews.
We just returned from Italy a few months ago where we enjoyed plenty of them. So it's nice to see this one make an appearance at Costco, and we were of course interested to taste and post about it.
Barbaresco is part of the big 3B's of Italian wine (+ Barolo, Brunello) but sometimes doesn't get the love that the others seem to nowadays.
And it's a shame because these wines, made from the Nebbiolo grape, are stunning, food friendly, and super interesting.

Costco's price was $18.99, and the wine received 92 points from Suckling. We didn't find a lot online to compare the price to, but it's very reasonable for good Barbaresco.
Getting into the wine, it's lively in the glass, a nice ruby garnet color; vibrant red fruit and earthy aromas; medium in body with raspberry and cherry flavor; acidic and dry in the finish.

A delight to drink all around, and we are happy to have finally found a Barbaresco at Costco. Let's hope it's a trend that continues.

While it probably is impossible for you to address currently available stock at individual Costco stores, your site would benefit by identifying what geographical areas where a particular selection has been marketed. Many of your selections never appear in the Richmond, VA area.
