2009 Louis M Martini Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Hard to beat this one for a rich and smooth California Cabernet for only $11.59 at Costco. Louis Martini is a dependable producer and they consistently kick out high quality wines at great prices such as this one. This wine is dark silky purple as you would expect, at a nice age where the fruit is still young and juicy with cherry, licorice and dark berry flavors; a slightly spicy note on the finish, which is perhaps just a little lighter of a close than I would prefer. But for under $12, it's hard to complain. All in all a solid offering, and my Costco seems to have an abundance of these bottles stacked up right now.
