2006 Tin Roof Cellars Merlot

It's really hard not to like these Tin Roof Merlots when they only cost $7 like this one did at Costco. I reviewed the 2005 vintage of this one a long time ago (about 2 years) and still remember it being a great value every time I see the label in the store. At $7 this '06 at Costco is even cheaper than in year's past. It's not an unbelievable wine; it's just a very good one for the price. It's simple, easy going, not a lot happening good or bad, mild cherry flavors with not much spice; overall it makes for a safe choice, a good mid week bottle with dinner. As I noted before it would be a great one to serve at a party from the carafe. You will never mind having a bottle of this laying around the house. CostcoWineBlog.com Rating: 86 Points |
