2009 Montes Classic Series Cabernet Sauvignon

You'd be hard pressed to find many Cabs as good as this one for $7.99, which is what I found it at my Costco for. I had the Alpha series Cab from Montes and absolutely loved it (same for the Alpha Syrah - just amazing), so I was curious what they would offer in this less expensive bottle.  And while it's certainly not up to the same level of elegance as the Alpha, this one is quite good.

Earthy, oaky nose leading into a full body, then plum and dark fruit flavors, slight spice to the close.  A nice little package especially for the price.  This one will land on our Value Picks, and is more than worth $7.99.  Recommended.
