2009 Conundrum California White Blend

This is a classic summer white, "a proprietary" blend of California grapes from Napa, Monterey and Santa Barbara, and I love how they kind of keep the varietal breakdown a secret. It's adds to the allure of this bottle, which really is a refreshing treat during the warmer months.

There's clearly Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, with some Viognier and Muscat, making this a well rounded and highly drinkable crowd favorite.  That's in fact how I enjoyed it, after taking it to a party, where everyone seemed to enjoy it.  Lots of citrus, honey, pineapple and apricot fruit flavors, with a decent body and crisp finish.

This is a fun white worth scoping up.  I saw it at two different Costco stores, one had it for $17.99 and one had it for $19.99.  It will land on our Bronze rated wine list.
