2009 Honig Napa Sauvignon Blanc

It was difficult to get a good photo of this bottle, but I hope you can recognize this one on your next visit to Costco, because it was an excellent wine.  We enjoyed it blind, and knew within the first taste we had a winner on our hands.

This wine offers a nice citrusy flavor, it's bright and crisp in the glass and in the mouth, and a solid finish that really rounds it out.  It's probably the finish that elevated this one for me. Food friendly, and a great summer wine, this is one to remember.

The bottle was $14 at Costco, and is a great buy at that price.  We'll put this one on the Bronze Rated wine list.

How do you think this Sauvignon Blanc compares to the 2009 Tangent (Edna Valley) Sauvigon Blanc that cells at Costco for $9.95? I've really enjoyed the Tangent.

I have not tried the Tangent Sauvignon Blanc.  I haven't seen it at either of my stores but will keep an eye out for it now.  Thanks.
