2007 Seghesio Zinfandel Sonoma

Masterful.  I love this wine.  This is another one of the 90+ rated wines that is priced under $20.  It was rated 91 points and I purchased it for $17.99 (Costco had the best price on this I have seen to date).  That's not a bad value proposition.  Note: this wine is the 2007 vintage.  The latest Wine Spectator I had with this wine rated in it was for the 2006 vintage, but from looking at the Vintage Chart, I think it's safe to say that if 2006 was good, 2007 could be even better.

This bottle just towers over other bottles in its class. It's not even close. It got me right off the bat.  Huge flavor with an incredible balance that makes you wonder how they pulled it off.  Feels great in the mouth, with a little spice on the finish.   A nice warm up in the winter months.  I'm going to buy another couple bottles of this for later.  It'll be a fun wine to age.

For Zins, this is a fantastic wine for a great price, and a bottle you want to try.
