2009 Villa San Juliette Petite Sirah
|A big fruity and spicy red that definitely comes to life as you dig in. I can get into these Petite Sirahs a bit more as the weather cools down.|
This one from Paso Robles is almost all Petite Syrah, with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon I believe. It’s dominated by plum and dark berry flavors that taste young and ripe, while being medium to full in body with a sticky, spicy finish.
I purchased this in a batch of other similarly priced bottles (all between $10-$15) and I’d place this one toward the top of the batch. Pretty good, all around, and a nice bottle for people who like their reds big and ripe.
