2009 Cave de Roquebron Chemin des Olivettes Coteaux du Languedoc
|A nice red blend from France’s Languedoc region, this wine is made up of 35% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre. Still a bit young, but well assembled and it evolved into a fun wine as it got a little air.|
Smooth and silky, medium in body, a little chewy, with nice red fruit flavors, and a dry finish that’s wraps up a little more quickly than I would have liked. For it’s $9.99 price tag at Costco it’s a nice bargain, and it could serve as a great everyday table red; very food friendly.
If you like these French red blends also see the Perrin & Fils Vinsobres that I just reviewed . But overall, a nice package for $10.
