2009 Bogle Chardonnay
|Good quality to price ratio on this one. It’s a nice Chardonnay and for $7.99 at Costco it’s a pretty good bargain.|
I reviewed the 2008 vintage a year ago and found this year’s wine to have many of the same characteristics – nothing overbearing in terms of oak and buttery taste. Rather the fruit comes through nicely; pear, melon and apple; the oak is balanced nicely at the close with a creaminess that remins fresh and desired. A pretty nice wine the more I dig in.
I’m going to bump my rating on this wine up a point from what I gave it last year. I think it’s a very nice bottle and Costco’s $7.99 price tag, which is the lowest I’ve seen, makes it that much better.
