2008 Di Majo Norante Sangiovese
|A simple and easy drinking, food friendly Sangiovese that’s not a bad buy for only $8.99 at Costco. This wine was lighter in flavor and in body than I was expecting, which isn’t necessarily bad, but I found it to be rather one dimensional overall, lacking real flavor and substance. |
For under $10, sure, you can’t really knock it, and it’s a great one to pull out during the week to go with a meal. I’ve seen this bottle just about everywhere (from wine shops to supermarkets) so it shouldn’t be hard to find. I just wouldn’t go in expecting too much.
Again, it was only $9, and it is not a bad wine at that price. Give it a shot and let me know what you think (everyone’s tastes are a little different).
