2007 Montes Alpha Series Cabernet Sauvignon
| If you’re looking for a big, bad Chilean Cabernet, here’s one you don’t want to miss. This is an excellent bottle for only $17 at Costco (that’s a lot better than even Wine.com where it’s on sale for $19.99), and definitely a good one to buy now to consume later. I’ll be adding one to my collection on my next Costco visit with a 3-5 year holding target. |
It’s a full bodied wine that hits big with red fruit flavor, mouth coating richness, and a long sustained finish. It’s clearly Chilean in almost every way, with a nice does of earthiness and uninhibited boldness. Ideal for hearty meals. Certainly tastes more expensive than it is. I will highly recommend this bottle, and give it a Silver Rating distinction because of the quality it delivers at a rather ridiculous price.
